Most of it is just rewritten/edited stuff I posted ages ago. But hey, I need to have the beginning before I can write the middle. XD; I need to get back into the habit of working on it. (that, and all my fanfics are stalled. Damn it.) It's great, I get to feel productive without even having to write for realz. XD

I swear my inspiration is bipolar -- either I have so many ideas I don't have the time to write it all, or I rake my brain for hours and nothing happens. Gnnh. And the periods where I'm stuck are always so much longer than my fits of writing-machine-ness.

Anyone interested in the beginning of a Dragon Ball Z fic I'm not even sure I'll complete? It's a Saiyajin on Earth AU, which has been done a bazilion times before but I love it so much .__. They drop by only a few months after Goku and Chichi get married, though, and i'm not sure I've seen it before. At first I wanted to do a series of loosely connected moments/scenes in the same AU, but I'm not sure it will work right with the new bunnies trying to make themselves a place in it. *beats Bardock over the head with a shovel*

So I can't access LJ. or mediaminer. or, i'm sure, a dozen other sites. I haven't been able to since yesterday. and before that it did the on/off thing for a little while. AND I DON'T KNOW WHY. Obviously LJ is up and running just fine, several people told me so. But when I try to access it, it keeps going "cannot find server." AUUUUUUUUUUUUGH.
Using proxies to surf your friendslist really sucks, btw, since I can't sign in and miss about half of it. And I can't see the comments. And, argh. Just argh.

I've been looking and looking for scans of the three alternate mangas taking place between the anime Gundam Wing and the Endless Waltz movie. (Ground Zero -- the slightly silly one; Blind Target, the more plotful one with the Quatre getting bombed and the Heero/Relena almost-kiss and the older Heero-looking guy; and Battlefield of Pacifists, the ugly one one I haven't read yet. I can't find ANYTHING. Anywhere. All the old sources have disappeared. WOOOOOE.
Well. I do have Ground Zero scans, which I can share! I'm uploading them ATM. And I do have the french book for Blind Target! But, I want to pimp Blind Target out to a friend and I can't, since 1) I'd break the spine, no ifs or buts, the book is old, and 2) it's in french anyway. Augh. Also now that i'm looking around I find myself getting really curious about the plot of Battlefield of Pacifists. (even if the art is ugly.)
So if anyone has or knows where to find scans for Blind Target and Battlefield of Pacifists, please please please link me? ;_____;

The next Teamwork chapter is proving hard to write. It's all very hurried OH SHIT RUN and that's chaotic, and it's hard to write enough description so readers will know WTF is happening and understand why they all do the things they do (somewhat) and not slow it down so much that all the urgency and panic is lost. Sigh. I tried Write or Die but nothing it produced was very good, save from a couple of comparisons.

*Natsume Yuujinchou = is a 13 episode long anime. It's very sweet, sad, cute, melancholy, and auuuugh so adorable. T^T Kinda bittersweet sometimes. (I cried like a bitch from all the d'awww! a couple of times, not scared to admit it.) Story is : normalish schoolboy is the descendent of a girl with strong psychic powers -- she saw ghosts and japanese folklore monsters. He inherited that. What he also inherited was a book full of demon names -- his grandma had the bad habit of challenging demons and if she won she would take their name, which would make them have to obey her. She never lost.
Natsume does not want those names, so he tries to give them back when he can. But some demons wouldn't mind eating him regardless. His ally is a creature that took over a maneki neko statue, so he looks kinda like a silly round and squishy cat. Most of the time. Prrrrt.
(... I admit I did get a kick out of the fact that Nyanko-sensei's real name is Madara, and that he is voiced by the guy who voices Kakashi. Hearing Kakashi's "you hurt my team, you die" voice coming from a giant pissed off wolf-ferret thing is only slightly less awesome than the utter silliness of Kakashi's voice coming from a squished cat is hilarious.)
There's a second season in production, but for now those 13 eps are all we've got. I marathoned them in a day and didn't regret it. Auuuugh. Socute. T^T
*Nurarihyon no Mago, a manga. It was first a one-shot, but then it was serialized.
Nura Rikuo, a kid that is part human and a quarter youkai (demon), lives in a house full of spirits along with his grandfather. Trying to escape his fate of acting like a demon, he does good deeds in order to avoid becoming one. Despite his grandfather's wish to succeed him as master of the Nurari youkai clan.
Also chock full of weird Japanese folklore monsters, and ADORABLE. I love all the characters (nnngh yukionna, socute.) It starts off a little unbalanced, I think the author was still trying to find his/her legs with it, but it's still adorable and eventually it hits its stride and bwee. So fun.
Rikuo starts off as an earnest goody-goody -- he's so focused on trying to do good deeds for everyone that he comes across as trying way too hard, and some of his classmates take advantage of it in a big way. He doesn't care, helping people makes him happy... though in the end he really isn't close to anyone, and doesn't really know how to. He has zero idea how to socialize and connect with his peers.
But he has a second personality! The classical super-hot noble and mysterious master of the night~ (prrt.) problem is, he can only use his inherited powers a fourth of the day (usually at night) since he's only a fourth demon. The cast is well-defined and often hilarious, and there are touching moments about friendship, faithfulness, solidarity and all those samurai/yakuza values. Because in the end that's what Rikuo is going to inherit, provided he decides to want it, and shows he's worthy. Prrrrt.

Okay, this review is pretty nice, actually. It's just, there's a line in it, and it's perfectly fine in itself, but the formulation gave me MENTAL PICTURES.
This is the relevant bit: i'm hoping to see the reaction of itachi and the rest of the Akatsuki when he finds about his brother unconventional relationships, that would be a shocker indeed that i'm sure would break the uchiha's stoic mask :)
And this is is my brain's immediate reaction:
Sasuke: ITACHI! >:O
Itachi: Foolish little brother, you are still pitifully weak even at this age -- what? you shacked up with two people? D: OMG YOU HAVE TO TELL ME EVERYTHING.
Itachi: You know, I don't think dad would have approved. ./_\.
Sasuke: BUT WE WILL NEVER KNOW. YOU KNOW, SINCE YOU KILLED HIM.
Itachi: *sigh* You always pull that card to change the conversation.
Itachi: I hope you're taking care to eat enough vitamin D. It's not healthy for my little nephew-to-be.
Sakura: ... yeah, I'll... I'll get right to that.
Itachi: Tell me, at least, are you happy? ;/__\;
Sasuke: Less by the minute. DX

I'm working on the Teamwork Suna sidefic at the moment. I needed them to be grumpy for the next scene, but of course Sasuke just had to be contrary.
"--Oi! Kakashi-sensei! You bed thief!"
"My old bones need the support," Kakashi replied. "More than a strapping young man like you does, right?"
Sasuke snorted, vaguely amused when Naruto predictably shuddered.
"Don't say 'strapping' with that voice! Yuck."
Kakashi's eye curved with deceptively harmless merriment. "But 'strapping' is a compliment."
Naruto flattened himself against the farthest wall to get as far from Kakashi as he could without leaving the room, the white of his eyes showing.
Sasuke tilted his head and inquire mildly, "He's a little young for you, isn't he?"
And then he goes and gets into a teasing match with freaking KAKASHI. For the record I hate writing Kakashi. So now I'm all "argh is it ooc? It's ooc isn't it. Isn't it? No, even if they said it they wouldn't say it like that..." DX
Is there no end to the things you'd be ready to do just to thwart me, you little pest? Ah, if I didn't love you... XD;

even though she already has a boyfriend, she tried to go out with Cloud.
... Wasn't her boyfriend gone and presumed dead for FIVE YEARS by then? D:
Zack and Aeris dated for a while when she was 16 and then he went poof -- it wasn't like they'd been married for twenty years. If you go by the original FF7 canon she even said something to the effect of "I liked him but it wasn't OMGlove." She could have been downplaying her pain -- or she could have been honest about her feelings.
But 1) it's not a crime to date someone you like a lot but turn out not to be in forever luv with, and
2) when the guy is dead for that long, even if you really loved him back then and a part of you always will~ ... It's perfectly normal and healthy to try to move on eventually, after your mourning is over, instead of obsessing. Just because she loved Zack doesn't mean she should go through life as a virgin clad in black floor-length dresses and a face-veil until she dies of old age. Argh.
Just be honest and say you don't like her because you ship a competing pairing and are insecure enough to feel threatened if you don't downplay her she manipulated manly man Cloud into wearing a dress complete with sexy lingerie or something. >__>

No clue whether the emotional bits are really effective, or if Heero comes across right -- IE ignoring his emotions because he has things to do, not "not having emotions at all unless it's convenient." I feel like I'm forgetting how. ~__~;

I think there are problems with it -- I don't know, it sounds like the person who put the instruments and voice together and added effects is a bit of an amateur, and the screaming parts are subtly off.
I've been hitting "watch again" almost nonstop for the last three days. =____=;;; Been trying other Emilie Autumn songs on youtube, but I don't love most of them -- just Opheliac. If anyone had a MP3 so I could just put it on repeat until I make myself sick of it, I'd be happy, because having to go hit refresh every five minutes gets old. *looks cute at* ;é___è;
-Old and super-random con-lang idea... Dates back from when I was trying to write a fight scene with Naruto and the bunch of kids he did Sexy no Jutsu on, and it's kinda clumsy to use "his left foot" "his right hand". I like to let people visualize instead of describing every single position and angle, but if you don't use "right" and "left" then it becomes kind of weird. Like he steps on something with all his weight, and then he kicks -- with the same foot? huh.
So there would be a language, and there would be a very short suffix, perhaps even just an accent, that means right or left -- but it also evolves to imply things about what comes from the left hand and from the right, blahblah, and when it gets attached to totally random neutral objects it gives it a whole secondary meaning and implications.
Like right-handed heart = cold bastard.
