I'm working on the Teamwork Suna sidefic at the moment. I needed them to be grumpy for the next scene, but of course Sasuke just had to be contrary.

"--Oi! Kakashi-sensei! You bed thief!"

"My old bones need the support," Kakashi replied. "More than a strapping young man like you does, right?"

Sasuke snorted, vaguely amused when Naruto predictably shuddered.

"Don't say 'strapping' with that voice! Yuck."

Kakashi's eye curved with deceptively harmless merriment. "But 'strapping' is a compliment."

Naruto flattened himself against the farthest wall to get as far from Kakashi as he could without leaving the room, the white of his eyes showing.

Sasuke tilted his head and inquire mildly, "He's a little young for you, isn't he?"

And then he goes and gets into a teasing match with freaking KAKASHI. For the record I hate writing Kakashi. So now I'm all "argh is it ooc? It's ooc isn't it. Isn't it? No, even if they said it they wouldn't say it like that..." DX

Is there no end to the things you'd be ready to do just to thwart me, you little pest? Ah, if I didn't love you... XD;
